| Auction of coal blocks begins |
 Auction of coal blocks began today, with two mines being offered on day one. Anil Ambani-led Reliance Cement bagged the first mine through e-bidding for Rs. 798 crore. Reliance Cement bagged the Sial Ghoghri coal mine in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. The mine has total reserves of 29.38 million tonnes and extractable reserves of 5.69 million tonnes. The mine is earmarked for the non-power sector. GMR bagged a coal block in Odisha in this auction. |
