Mohamed Mursi is facing charges of endangering national security by leaking state secrets and sensitive documents to Qatar. The former Islamist leader was ousted from power in 2013, following mass protests against his rule. However, Mursi remains defiant and says he is still Egypt’s legitimate leader. "This court does not represent anything to me," said Mursi, who was on trial with 10 other people, Reuters reports. The maximum penalty if convicted is death.
